AnnouncementsOur Super Leaders are College & Career Focused!
This year, as part of our new growth mindset, students will be allowed to wear College Spirit Shirts once a month (notes will always go home in advance of the designated day). We want our students to “Begin with the End in Mind” and for College Oaks Buckaroos that end in mind is not just passing to the next grade level. It is not just moving on to middle school or even high school. The ultimate goal for our awesome Buckaroo Super Leaders is that they plan to go to college and/or begin thinking about their career paths, even in PreK! Students must still wear uniform bottoms with their college spirit shirts. Our first Spirit Day is Friday, September 29th.
Fall Cookie Dough Fundraiser
All Cookie Dough Orders and money must be turned in by TUESDAY, OCT. 3rd by 8AM. No orders will be accepted after this date. The items will be received in several weeks. Make checks payable to College Oaks Elementary. Thank you for your support. Remember students who Sell 1 item will get to come to school dressed as your “Favorite Hero”, students who sell 5 items will get to go on a Bowling Field Trip and your name goes in a drawing for a Super Prize, and students who sell 10 items their name will go in a drawing for a Large Basket of Prizes and have Lunch with the Principal!
PTO Membership Drive
The mission of the PTO is to serve the students, teachers, and staff of College Oaks through volunteerism and monetary support. Your dollars benefit the school in so many ways such as providing items for our school BUC Store, providing new technology equipment into our classrooms like iPads, color printers, laptops, and projectors. When it is time for class parties or incentives, teachers may use the money for pizzas, ice cream, etc. It also helps toward our annual Faculty Appreciation Luncheon. Membership is $6 per family. You may pay with either cash or check payable to College Oaks Elementary. Our membership drive will end Thursday, October 12th. The first class with 100% membership will receive a pizza party and time on the deck! All students of College Oaks Elementary will earn a Blue Jean Day with uniform shirts on Friday, October 13th to celebrate the end of our PTO Membership Drive.
