• Throughout this apprenticeship as a Junior Network Engineer I was trained in various different areas in IT, with focus on Technical advice & Guidance, Safety in IT and Telecoms, IT and Telecoms Fault Diagnosis, Testing IT and Telecoms Systems, Networking Principles, Working with IT and Telecoms Hardware and Equipment. I also attended numerous training courses as part of this qualification where I gained extensive knowledge in Craft Skills, Routing and Switching, LANs and WANs, Networking and also received training in Radio systems. Through understudying CCNA/CCNP qualified Vodafone Senior Network Engineers within their Systems UK department I became skilled in how to utilise, fault diagnose, repair and configure a variety of CISCO equipment including but not limited to routers, switches and WAPs. I was able to build and maintain my own network in addition to configuring existing networks. Furthermore, I was a capable, reliable and integral part of the Vodafone team, responsible for travelling all over the UK to complete jobs in England, Ireland and Wales.

HNC Nautical Science and Deck Officer Trainee Programme
• This course allowed me to gain substantial knowledge and hands-on experience in several areas of expertise; Bridge Watch-keeping, Marine Meteorology, Seamanship, Shipboard Operations, Naval Architecture, Marine Law and Management and Nautical Science. As part of the Deck Officer Trainee Programme I understudied qualified Merchant Navy Officers on board Reefer vessels, during a four month period. Furthermore, I corrected charts, handled several ship-ship communications and was exposed to numerous navigation technologies such as radars and echo sounders which I be I learned to use expertly during my time on ship. Moreover, my hardworking nature was utilised through many hours of manual labor including chipping, painting and deck cleaning. This programme and cadetship provided me with an amazing opportunity which allowed me to hone my existing skills as well as perfect new skills, widen my knowledge of communications and navigation and also enhanced my communication skills as I interacted with multiple nationalities onboard the ship.

EMPLOYMENT:
2016 – present Customer Service Advisor, Teleperformance Within this position I handled calls for Clydesdale and Yorkshire bank customers. This role required me to utilise an analytical approach to resolve customer queries ranging from simple balance enquiries to missing payments and fraudulent transactions. I was able to provide a world-class service to the customer by using a large range of systems.

WebHelp leads the field in business process outsourcing and offers data-led customer service through contact centres in the UK. Specifically, the call centre I worked in handled clients of Vodafone. I received training to handle any query a client may have had and to deal with that query in a timely and effective manner. I handled clients of varying nationalities and dealt with problems ranging from bill queries, device problems, transfer of ownership and returns or repairs. Though never face to face with the clients I gained great experience in resolving a variety of issues while keeping calm, professional and respectful. This position allowed me enhance my communication skills, problem solving skills and also called upon my time-management and initiative.

I spent one week of work experience with Royal Bank of Scotland where I worked at the front desk welcoming customers and dealing with any enquires they had. Furthermore, I ran errands, delivered letters and note taking while I was also responsible for handling many transactions, cashing cheques and exchanging money for customers. The RBS provided me with an opportunity where, through handling, sorting and counting large amounts of money, I was able to sharpen my numeracy skills.
PERSONAL STATEMENT:
I am incredibly hard working, with an eagerness to learn new skills, as well as being extremely reliable, honest and intuitive. I am able work well both as part of a team, or on my own. Additionally, I am very quick to learn, work consistently hard and I feel that gaining employment within your company/organization would be a great opportunity.
INTERESTS:
Outside of studies I enjoy playing tennis, reading, working/playing on computers, walking (with/without my dog), and spending time with my friends and family.
