Rules and Regulations

  1. A contribution of 20p per exhibit should be made towards the Village Fete Funds.
  2. The Hall will be open for entries between 10.00 am and 11.45 am.
  3. Points will be awarded in each class i.e. 5 for 1st, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd. The Committee reserves the right to award only one prize in each class where the exhibit is not of sufficient quality.
  4. No exhibitor will be allowed more than one entry in any one class.
  5. Each exhibitor will be supplied with a registration number, which must be attached to each exhibit.
  6. All exhibits must remain on show until 3 pm when items will be auctioned.
  7. All exhibits must be grown by the exhibitor or, in the case of cookery, prepared by them or arrangements must be arranged by them.
  8. A challenge cup plus £6.00 will be presented to the competitor winning the most points in the vegetable and fruit section, a second cup plus £4.00 for the runner-up, one for the flower section and another for the cookery section, each with £5.00. The Welch bowl will be presented to the winner of class 42 – an arrangement with 5 roses.
  9. The cups presented are being loaned to us by The Royal British Legion, (Sandon and District Branch) and will remain their property.
  10. All exhibits will be sold by the committee for the benefit of the Village Fete Funds, unless exhibitors particularly request otherwise by placing a note on their exhibit.
  11. The Judges decision is final.
