READ INSTRUCTION SHEET COMPLETELY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION DUE TO THE FACT THAT THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY TO BOLT TO THE CROSSMEMBER, MAKE SURE FRONT WHEELS ARE STATICALLY AND DYNAMICALLY BALANCED.

Raise vehicle using hoist or jack, place jack stands under the axle and block rear wheels.

Remove front shocks and install the 001 shocks. Torque top and bottom mounting bolts to 60 foot-pounds.

Install the Frame mounting Bracket on the passenger side, on the backside of the rear spring down stop. Remove the rear nut holding the down stop bracket and mount the bracket to this bolt on the bottom of the down stop bracket and tighten. Making sure that the bracket is flush with the side of the frame, center punch the frame through the 1/2” holes. The brackets will be tilted slightly. Check the backside of frame for wires and gas lines before drilling then drill frame using 1/8”, 3/8” then 1/2” drills. Using the 1/2” X 1-1/2” grade 5 bolts and flat washers (washers go on the frame side) bolt bracket to frame. Torque bolts to 40 foot-pounds.

Use the 3/8" thick washer when needed for alignment, install the 949 steering stabilizer to the frame bracket. Do not tighten at this time.

Make sure the wheels are in the straightforward position. Pull the rod out of stabilizer 6 inches as a starting point. (See Figure 1) Mount the other end of the stabilizer to the mounting bracket. Make sure the mounting bracket mounts horizontal and on the bottom side of the steering connecting rod with the mounting hole to the rear as shown in Figure 2. Install bracket using the U-bolts in the kit; tighten nuts to 20 foot-pounds. Torque stabilizer-mounting nuts to 60 foot-pounds.

Turn the wheels all the way to the left and right to make sure you are centered on the steering stabilizer and are not hitting the tire. Lower vehicle onto the ground and start engine and turn steering wheel from 10 to 2 o'clock as fast as possible and have someone check to make sure nothing is loose in the rest of the steering linkage.

This system is designed to work with the front end set to factory specifications and no other after market kit on the unit.
