C I R C U L A R
It has come to the notice of the Commission that some institutions are selling khadi at the rate over and above that is prescribed in the Cost Chart, clearly in violation of the guidelines laid down by the Central Certification Committee as well as the Commission.
Rationalizing the cost of khadi has remained the prime concern of the Commission and necessary communication has been issued to all State/Divisional office to revise the Cost Chart taking into account the reduced rate of slivers/rovings supplied by the Central Sliver Plants, structuring scientifically the system of Khadi Costing and enhancing earnings of artisans by 25%. Under the circumstances it is quite unfair on the part of the institutions to violate the guidelines issued by the Commission and sell khadi above the Cost Chart rates.
State/Divisional Directors are hereby requested to advise the institutions to strictly adhere to the laid down system of costing and the rates prescribed in the Cost Chart while selling khadi and khadi products.
