From the Pastor’s Desk---February 2017
February may be the shortest month of the year, but for we at Mt. Zion it has been a month full of excitement.
We had our Annual Love Feast covered dish luncheon and Holy Communion on Sunday the 12th. What a wonderful meal and fellowship we enjoyed together and thanks to our Deacons and Deaconesses the Lord’s Supper was so very meaningful.
On Saturday the 18th we had our first Movie Matinee. We had over 20 people to enjoy the movie God’s Not Dead and a children’s movie was also shown for the little ones to enjoy.
During the month our Women’s Circle met, our Fellowship enjoyed a lunch together and our men had a delicious breakfast together as they prayed for the needs of our church family and for the world at large.
Sunday School, Worship Services and Youth and Adult Bible Study on Wednesday Nights were attended by many, with the children making cookies and Valentine Cards for church members.
What a wonderful and exciting month we have enjoyed, yet we have had many of our church family and extended family with health problems. Many trips to the hospitals, but our Lord has truly blessed us with amazing healings. We saw Mrs. Virginia Rimer, Hoyt Wright, Catherine Barber and many others make their way from the hospital to home! Praise God!
So as we wrap up the month of February and head into the month of March, let us go forward with great expectations of even more miracles and blessing from our Lord!
