2nd S.K.I.F. INTERNATIONAL KYU TOURNAMENT DOMZALE 2012
Shotokan karate-do club “ATOM”-Domzale is organizing the 2nd S.K.I.F. International KYU tournament DOMZALE 2012.
The tournament is intended for all S.K.I. Slovenia clubs and other invited clubs from Slovenia and foreign countries. Only competitors with color belts (KYU level) can participate.

Some competitors of certain age can compete in two categories.
QUALIFICATION: All competitors perform HEIAN kata of their choice, according to their belt level – for example: yellow belts Heian Shodan, brown belts Heian-Yodan or Heian-Godan or lower.
FINALS: 4 or 8 competitors go to final part. In final part competitors perform different HEIAN kata then in first round. Groups A4, B4, C4, D4, E4 in F4 (purple and brown belt) can perform the following katas: BASSAI-DAI; JION; ENPI; KANKU-DAI or HEIAN.
The sum of both rounds gives the winner.

R- BOYS – born in 2002-2001 – 10 and 11 years (all KYU belts)
S- GIRLS – born in 2002-2001 – 10 and 11 years (all KYU belts)
T-CADET BOYS – born in 1996-1995 – 16 and 17 years (all KYU belts)
U-CADET GIRLS – born in 1996-1995 – 16 and 17 years (all KYU belts)
V-MEN – born in 1994 - 1977– from 18 to 35 years (all KYU belts)
Z-WOMEN – born in 1994 - 1977 – from 18 to 35 years (all KYU belts)
Some competitors of certain age can compete in two categories.
Competition rules for kumite are IPPON-HAN-SHOBU (until 3 wazaries or Ippon and 1 wazari), 2 minutes – active time, maximum 2 extensions (1 minute each). All competitors must wear gum shield, men groin protectors, women chest protectors and all white gloves according to S.K.I.F. standard. Other protective gear is not allowed.
All competitors participate on their own responsibility. We recommend medical insurance and medical examination.
