Explanatory notes

Definitions

Enterprise means an organisation where training and/or assessment is taking place, and/or where the trainee is employed.

Enterprise procedures refer to the documented procedures used by the organisation carrying out the work and applicable to the tasks being carried out. They may include but are not limited to – standard operating procedures, site safety procedures, equipment operating procedures, codes of practice, quality assurance procedures, housekeeping standards, charging of time and materials, management of drawings and documentation, procedures to comply with legislative and local body requirements.

Evidence requirements

1.1The potential hazards in the glass container packaging area are identified, and precautions are taken in accordance with enterprise procedures.

1.2Emergency stopping of packaging equipment is demonstrated in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Rangeequipment includes but is not limited to – palletiser, bar coder, shuttle car, shrink wrapper, pallet ticketer, layer seal.

Evidence may be simulated if required.

1.3Equipment in the glass container packaging area is operated, and identified issues are reported or responded to in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Rangeequipment – palletiser, bar coder, shuttle car, shrink wrapper, pallet ticketer, layer seal.

1.4Supply of packaging materials is maintained to support production output in accordance with enterprise procedures.

1.5Process alarms are identified and action is taken in response to alarms in accordance with enterprise procedures.

1.6Work area and hand tools are cleared and cleaned to ensure safe operating conditions in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Rangework area may include but is not limited to – floors, stairs, platforms, machine surfaces.
