M/s DLF Info City Developers (Chennai) Ltd have been notified as a SEZ vide Ministry of Commerce notification dt.16.11.06. Subsequently, M/s DLF Assets Pvt Ltdhave been notified as a co-developer for the same SEZ vide letter dt. 14.02.07.

M/s DLF Assets has requested approval vide their no. DAPL/2010-2011; dt. 11.05.2010, for providing promotional activity by fixing a LCD screen in the atriums for advertising their products in their operational buildings for the purpose of employees of their SEZ Units.The Details are as below:

M/s DLF Assets has requested approval vide their no. DAPL/2010-2011; dt. 11.05.2010, for providing space to Cafe Coffee Day Kiosks for Installation of Coffee shop for the purpose of facilitating the employees of their SEZ Units in the open space of approx. 250 Sqft in Block 1B Atrium of their operational SEZ building. Sub: Closure of the Unit – M/s. Anjana Software Services Pvt. Ltd - DLF Unit

M/s. Anjana Software Services Pvt. Ltd., have been approved as a unit in the DLF SEZ at Chennai vide letter referred at (1) above.

It is seen from our records, that the SEZ unit has not commenced any operation, but have only executed the BLUT. Hence, this office had sent a letter to respective Authorised officer asking for the details of the benefits availed by the unit. The AO has replied vide letter referred at (2) above that the unit have not filed any document till date for the purpose of procuring any duty free items or for availing any exemption/benefit under the SEZ Act/Rules.

As per sub-rule (5) of Rule 19 of the SEZ Rules 2006, if the Unit has not commenced production or service activity within the validity period or the extended validity period under sub-rule (4), the Letter of Approval shall be deemed to have been lapsed with effect from the date on which its validity expired.

Since the unit has not commenced any operation, we may cancel the LoA as per sub-rule (5) of Rule 19 of the SEZ Rules 2006.

M/s. HCL Technologies Ltd., have now requested our approval for sending the duty free Corian acrylic sheet Bone C200-534N – BN for Fabrication work outside the SEZ for sub-contracting purposes, vide their letter no. HCL-T/SEZ/031; Dated 15/10/2010, submitted on 19/05/2010.

The duty free Corian acrylic Sheet bone would be sent to their sub-contractor M/s. Soundarya Decorators Pvt. Ltd., located at Plot No.26, Poror vuillage, Kolathur Post, Keezhakottiyur, Chennai – 600 048, for fabrication purposes.

The wastage norms specified by the job worker is 5%.
