Microsoft ACCESS Database Project (BIM)
Project Description
In Microsoft ACCESS create a database of 15 different music CD’s that you would purchase if money were no object. Obtain your information from www.allmusic.com.
1. In your database include the following fields:
o CD # (autonumber)
o Artist (text)
o Title of Album/CD (text)
o Album Cover (OLE Object) – you will copy/paste a picture of the CD later
o Rating (Look-up Wizard): 1 Star, 2 Stars, 3 Stars, 4 Stars, 5 Stars
o Record Company/Label (text)
o Genre (Look-up Wizard): Pop/Rock, Jazz, R&B, Rap, Country, Blues, Electronic, Latin, Reggae, Int’l, Classical
o Release Date (date)
o Price of CD (currency) – find at www.walmart.com or www.amazon.com
2. Create a form from the table above using Form Wizard
Include the following in your form:
o Form Header (in Design View) = YourName’s 15 Most Wanted Music CD’s and Your picture
o Form Footer = BIM, Period, Date
3. Using the regular form view, find 15 different CDs to list in your database from www.allmusic.com
Do NOT listen to any of the sample songs!!
4. Use the rubric to complete the additional activities for this database.
