Software Developer

24 month Fixed Term Contract

(Related Titles: Computer Programmer, System Developer, Software Engineer, Software Architect, .Net Developer)

The Job:

You will work as part of the Business Innovation team and be responsible for the specification, design and development of software applications to support the organisation in its day to day activities.

The Work:

“What”the key priorities or responsibilities are and how much time is spent focusing on each. The standards of performance will detail the expected outcomes and “how” you undertake the role.

To work with the organisation to understand business and customer requirements before translating them into application and operational solutions. / 20%
To assist with the production of work packages / 20%
To write, translate and code software applications as defined within work packages / 50%
To undertake research on appropriate technologies to deliver appropriate software solutions to support the organisation. / 10%

Be passionate about software development and technology / Be driven in guiding a product from inception through to final delivery
Be confident and experienced in leading customer facing workshops / Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Delivering work packages within an agreed time frame / Researching new technologies and bringing recommendations to the business on appropriate solutions

To be considered for this job I absolutely must have:-

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills / Experience in product development (UI and UX)
Experience of developing software applications / A passion to utilise emerging technologies
Skills and experience in various programming languages and techniquese.g. .Net, SQL, API’s / A good understanding of the challenges faced by the housing sector

Hours & Working Conditions:-

Your Terms / 37 hours full time
Pay & benefits / Circa £31,963, flexible working scheme, DC Pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holiday, employee discount scheme
