Sunday, August 28, 2016 “Morning Mountain Madness

Registration Information

There are several options available this year if you are looking to participate in multiple events:

All Event Weekend Pass for $50: gets you a wristband that gets you in to all events. Please note you can only do one BlackJack Shuttle with the wristband (you may purchase more individual shuttles). Kids weekend pass is only $40.

You will only need to fill out ONE registration form, and then we will have it on file: if you wish to participate in more events you simply need to let our registration team know and they will find your form and sign you up. On Sunday this will be at the Registration Table near the Kiosk.

If you have already pre-registered for an event on Sunday, you must still check in to the SIGN IN table to let them know you are there, get your number plate and have your name added to the appropriate category start list. This will be located under the gazebo.

Parking is tricky on this day, so we will be offering drop-off at the lower parking lot only and Queen City Shuttles will be helping us out by shuttling people up and down the road. Parking is available at the upper parking lot and along the road - please park responsibly. Bring your appetite too as Gypsy Wagon and the Kootenay Co-op Deli Cart will be serving up wood fired pizzas all day!

If you have already filled out a KIDS REGISTRATION FORM and selected a kids race category, when you get to Morning Mountain you can proceed to the Sign In Table under the gazebo, where you will receive your number plate and goody bag. Up, Down, All AroundEnduro Race:

With the completion of Upper Bottom’s we just had to go big! So this year we have combined the XC and DH races into the Up, Down, All AroundEnduro. So you are a good climber, but only so-so on the descent? Great! Use your climb time for a chance at the Up prizes. More of a walker up, but can rip it down? Super! You’ve got a chance at the Down prizes! And for those of you who can do it all, you can combine your times for the fastest All Around. We’ve got a Sane and Insane course so that all levels can enjoy the day!

Sane Race starts at 11 am:

All riders will start from the base of Morning Mountain. Timed UP section will be from the start of Bottom’s Up to the point just before it intersects Lefty. Keep climbing at your own pace to the top and then the timed DOWN section will be down Lefty. Categories for male and female in U10, U13, 13-15, 16-18, 19+ and 40+.

Insane Race starts at 1pm:

All riders will start from the base of Morning Mountain. Time UP section will be from the start of Bottom’s Up, continuing on Upper Bottoms’ to the bench at the top of Turstyles. Stage 2 will be a timed descent down Placenta and Oilcan. Riders will make their way to the top of Bottom’s Up (not timed) and Stage 3 will be a timed descent on Born Again/Unit Crewzer. *Walking riders (who aren’t taking an Up time) can start heading up before 1pm, but will have to yield to Sane Racers on Lefty. Categories for male and female in 16-18, 19+ and 40+. The All Around prize will be awarded to overall male and female.

Note: If you have pre-registered for your event(s), then you only need to check in at least a half hour before your event to get your number plate and sign up for the appropriate category.
