2018Juried Photography Exhibit Prospectus

Exhibit March 9th - 31st, Reception March 10th 2-4pm, Awards 3pm

Eligibility and Requirements: Open to all photographers. Up to 5 photographs (2 in each category) may be submitted. A statement may be attached to the back explaining why this was entered in the category to help jurors determine if it is appropriately entered. Photographs must be the work of the artist and must originate in a camera. Only one image per frame. No photographers name, title or logos can be visible on the front of the entries. No work shall have been previously exhibited in a juried show

at Riverside Art Center.

Framing and size All photographs must be in a metal or wooden frame with a sturdy wire hanger securely attached to the frame. Conventional frames, enclosed on all 4 sides are mandatory. Screw eyes or metal eyes are required; no saw tooth or one hole hangers are allowed. Canvas wrapped frameswill be accepted. The minimum visible print size is 16 united inches (one length plus one width). The maximum outsideframe size is 48 united inches Frames must be rectangular or square

Entries Fee and Dates A non-refundable fee of $25.00 for members for up to 3 entries and $40.00 for non-members for up to 3 entries. Members will pay $5.00 for additional entries and non- members $7.00. Up to 5 entries can be submitted.

Checks should be made to Riverside Art Center mail to P.O. Box 37 Wapakoneta, OH 45895 Entries will be receivedon March 4th from 1-4pm and March 5th from 4-7pm at 3 West Auglaize Street. No late entries will be accepted.

Formsmust be filled out legibly and COMPLETELY. Photocopies are acceptable; nonstandard entry forms are not acceptable.

All entries must be clearly marked on the back lower right corner with the photographer’s name, category, title and price of work.Entries not clearly marked will be disqualified. All works must be delivered and unpacked by the artist or their agent. Late or mail delivered entries will not be accepted.

Juried ExhibitEntry does not guarantee exhibition. Decisions of the jurors are final. No accepted work may be removed prior to the closing date of. Artist must provide a stamped self-addressed envelope for jury results. Please do not call Riverside for results.

DATES Exhibit will open Friday March 9th - Saturday March 31st. A public reception will be held on Saturday March 10th 2-4pm. Awards presented at 3pm. Sales will be handled by Riverside Art Center and a commission of 30% will be charged. Entry into this exhibit will be considered by Riverside Art Center a contract and agreement to these terms. Photographs accepted in the exhibit must remain for the duration of the show.

Pick up dates: Non accepted works can be picked up during normal business hours March 8th & 9th 12-4pm or Saturday March 10th 10am- 1pm. Show entry pick up dates are Wednesday April 4th - Friday April 4th 12 – 4pm and Saturday April 5th 10-1pm Entries not picked up within 30 days will be charged a storage fee of $20.00. Any entry left beyond 60 days will become the property of Riverside Art Center.

Liability and Reservation of Rights:All possible care will be taken in handling of entries but Riverside Art Center and its agents will not be responsible for loss or damage to any artwork. Riverside Art Center reserved the right to reproduce any photo or image of the exhibit participants for the purpose of publicity or documentation. Submission of entry shall imply an agreement on the part of the photographer to all of the above conditions.
