2018 Track & Field Club of the Year Nomination Form

Nominations for the 2018 Track and Field Club of the Year (Club of the Year) must be submitted on this form. Clubs may self-nominate. All nominations must be submitted to the address below. To be eligible for the award, the nominated Club must be a current member of AAU (as of June 10, 2018). One (1) Club will be selected from each District for recognition as the District’s Club of the Year. Three (3)clubs will be selected, from nominations submitted,as finalists for the “AAU National Track & Field Club of the Year” award, with one (1) Club receiving recognition as National Club of the Year.

Nominations will be assessed on 2017 accomplishments based on the following five (5) criteria:

  1. Record/Performance/Honors received by Club Athletes;
  2. Honors/Recognitions received by the Club.
  3. Club’s Service to the Sport of Track and Field, e.g. shared coaches, resources
  4. Club’s Service to Community (outside of track and field).
  5. Club’s Service to the Athletes.

Nominations will be assessed solely based on the information provided and contained in the spaces allotted below.

1. Record/Performance/Honors received by club athletes in 2017.
2. Honors/Recognition/Awards received by the club in 2017 (local, state, or national)?
3. Club contribution to the advancement of the sport in 2017? E.g.: innovative coaching ideas
4. Club contribution to its local community outside of track and field in 2017?
5. Club service to track and field athletes not directly related to competition in 2017?
