2018 - 29th Annual RTSC Summer Youth Training Sessions
RTSC is pleased to announce that it will sponsor its 29th annual summer youth training sessions for players aged K – 8thGrade at Cherry St. Park (Field). Due to overwhelming demand, we have organized two one-week sessions and a third week for travel team players! Campers are limited to participating in two weeks only!
Week 1: Monday July 30th– Friday August 3rdfrom 9:00am – 1:00pm
Week 2: Monday August 6th – Friday August 10th from 9:00am – 1:00pm
Week 3: Monday August 13th – Friday August 17th from 9:00am – 12:00pm
Sessions for Weeks 1 & 2will be based on two different training formats. Week one’s format will include using a variety of types of training equipment at different stations to develop individual skills. Campers will end the day with further skill development using the mini soccer game concept. (Due to limited field availability, Week 1 sessions will not have a traditional Thursday Parents Night.) Week 2 sessions will consist of developing individual skills in small group settings and competition using larger fields. Week 2 will still have the ever-popular Thursday Parents Night skill contests & games. With two different formats campers are free to attend one or both sessions.These 2 weeks are open to all players going into Kindergarten – 8th grades.
Week 3’s session will consist of small group training using regulation soccer goals for each group. Your child will be shooting on regulation size goals with goal keepers through the training period except for the first 20 minutes of warm up which will include Pugg games. This week is for RTSC Travel players only ages 8-13
Campers are limited to participating in two weeks only! Please do not register your child for more than two weeks!!
Costs & Discounts for Weeks 1 & 2: The fee for a week’s session is $145 for the family’s first child, $125 for the second, $125 for the third and $125 for the fourth child – when registered for the same week. In addition to a week’s instruction, each camper will receive a T-shirt, soccer ball, and other equipment. Those who register by June 1st, 2018 will receive a $15 discount for each child enrolled. All registrations will be done on-line using our on-line registration system (see below). Payment can be made on-line using a credit card or by mailing a check to RTSC.
Cost for Week 3: The fee for Week 3 is $145. There are no family or early registration discounts.
*Registrations and payments received after June 30th will be charged a $15 late fee per child due to costs of ordering additional merchandise and equipment. Prompt payment also eliminates any frustrating moments for parents on the first day of camp during registration. Please remember last year we had to check in over 200 campers.
Scholarships: It has always been the policy of RTSC not to deny any child the opportunity to learn and enjoy soccer because of financial hardship. The club has set aside limited funds for use as financial aid for deserving players. We encourage all who are interested to apply for full or half scholarships. Please contact the club () to inquire.
Parents & Players Night: Week 2 Only! On Thursday, August 9th from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, parents will compete against sons & daughters in exercises and games at Sleighton Park.
Snacks: Refreshments will be available for a small fee at the clubhouse. All campers are encouraged to bring beverages and fruits. Snack time will be approximately from 11:00am –11:15am.
