Agri-Business Committee – plan, organize and manage the Annual Hay Show & Sale held in October. This committee manages the scholarship fund which has raised over $160,000 for Cherokee County youth.(Charles Dickerson & Roland Adams Co-Chair)
Taste of Jacksonville – local restaurants providing samples of favorite or new dish, during this annual event. (Patty Rivers, Chair)
Trunk or Treat- Plan, organize and manage downtown event. Secure vendors to hand out 4000 pieces of candy.
Education Development Division- Pam Anderson
Adopt-A-School Program – partnership with the JISD to assist with scholarships, job shadowing and additional funding needed for various programs. (Julie Robinson & Vance Royon Co Chair)
Back to School Fair – annual event held in August providing 800 backpacks with school supplies for JISD students. (Larry Barker, Chair)
Membership Development Division- Teresa Langley
Ambassadors Club- welcome group of the Chamber who visits members monthly, greeters at Chamber functions. Great opportunity to meet people while promoting Chamber functions. (Kim Felt, Chair)
Live at 5- social networking hosted by Chamber members. This event is held at the host business giving those opportunities to give tours, introduce new employees and showcase their business. There is a $250 fee which covers the Chamber cash drawing at event. Only 6 available a year. (Crystal Bateman & Mary Lou Taylor, Co-Chair)
Business @ Lunch- plan and organize 6 luncheons a year providing services or what’s happening in Jacksonville and Cherokee County. (Teresa Langley, Chair)
Membership Meeting- plan, organize and manage the Fall Membership Meeting in November honoring the Outstanding Business Man & Woman as well as the Annual Banquet in January honoring the Outstanding Citizen and other volunteers. (Jana Bateman, Chair)
Tourism Development Division- Robin Butt
Annual Christmas Parade – held the 1st Thursday in December, uniting with the City of Jacksonville to officially kick off the holiday season.
Ladies Night Out- plan, organize and manage a possible new event in November, geared for the ladies before the holiday season.
Tomato Fest – showcase Jacksonville’s rich tomato history the 2nd Saturday in June celebrating Jacksonville as the Tomato Capital of the World. (Robin Butt, Chair)
Love’s Lookout Visitor Center – satellite tourism center providing Jacksonville and area attractions are housed by volunteers of the community. (Layne Hawkins, Chair)
