2017 SENIOR TOURNAMENT RULES

1. / All SENIOR male and female members over the age of 50 on October 1, 2017 who belong to any USBC bowling association in the State of Nevada are eligible to enter.Seniors that don’t have a current membershipin Nevada State may enter by purchasing a USBC membership for $26.00. All bowlers that live outside of the State of Nevada or that does not bowl in an association within Nevada may bowl with the purchase of a local and state sanction card but will not be eligible to represent the State of Nevada at the USBC Senior Championships.
2. / Entry fee is $35.00 per person for the Women and the Open Single’s Tournaments. There is a $5.00 per person entry for high series for a total of $40.00. You can also bowl doubles during your singles games as mail-o-graphic event. You may also bowl with more than one person on the same squad for your double entry. Any savings on linage will go back into the prize fund for larger payouts for the tournament.
Entry fee is $15.00 per person for the Mixed Doubles for a total of $30.00 per team. Entry forms must be filled out in detail and must match your membership card. NO NICKNAMES PLEASE. You may bowl with more than one person on the same squad for your doubles. You may add bowling partners to your doubles entry at the time you check in.
3. / Multiple entry is permitted in the NV USBCA Senior Championship tournaments, but you may cash only once. The Single’s tournament format will consist of bowling six (6) games. The bowler must bowl in two (2) three game squads. The total score of the six games will determine the winner of each division. PBA members who are not in exempt status will be allowed to compete.
The Mixed Doubles Tournament is a handicap virtual tournament. Each team shall consist of two senior members (age does not matter) – one male and one female who are members of the Nevada State USBCA. You may bowl with as many partners as you wish on the same squad. This event will use the scores from your singles games. You may enter into the doubles event in either set or both of your singles if you wish. This will allow you to bowl with more people without having to bowl as many games. You can also re-enter into the singles division and bowl the Mixed Doubles event again as well. The Mixed doubles will be limited to one PBA card member per team. PBA members must not be in exempt status to compete. Your scores from your three game singles series will be used. The combined scores plus handicap shall determine the tournament winners. You may enter the mixed doubles as many times you wish by changing partner each time. You will only cash one time with the same partner.
4. / No refunds of entry fees after the entry has been accepted and scheduled.
5. / Handicap is 90% of 225 for all bowlers
6. / AVERAGE USAGE and requirements are as follows:
a. / Entrants will use highest 2016/2017 winter book average of 21 or more games to include all tough shot, sport shot leagues that changes the shot during the season. Tournament manager also reserve the right to adjust a bowler’s average to a tournament average based on past local tournaments, state tournaments, national open tournaments.
b. / If no 2016/2017winter book average entrant will use highest 2017 Summer book average of 21 or more games.
c. / If no 2016/2017winter book average use highest current average of 21 games as of October 15, 2017. (Must provide verification (league sheet) at time of bowling.)
d. / All entrants without an established average will enter the tournament with a 225 scratch average.
e. / USBC Rule 319a2 does apply.
f. / USBC Rule 319a3 will apply. Please ensure your average is correct in accordance with this rule regarding submitting proper average and correction of averages. This will include using USBC Conversion averages for Sport shot, tough shot or leagues that change patterns throughout the season. (10 pin rule).
g. / USBC Rule 319d will apply. Bowlers who have qualified for a prize of $600.00 or more in any tournament within the previous 12 months must report actual scores, position, and amount won for possible average adjustment.
h. / USBC Rule 319e will apply. A bowler MUST report a 10 pin tournament average increase before bowling for possible average adjustment.
7. / No pacers are allowed.
8. / The winner of each division (except in the Mixed Doubles Tournament) will receive a paid entry into the National Seniors Tournament in 2018 if they choose to compete. If the winner does not compete, the second place winner in the division will be eligible. If neither the first or second place of a division wishes to compete, no entry will be issued. Winners in all three tournaments will also be awarded a plaque.
9. / All other USBC rules not covered on this form will apply and will be strictly enforced.
10. / In the case of ties for first place Co-Champions will be declared as stated in USBC Rule 326a1, but the highest three game handicapped series will determine who will receive the paid entry into the National Seniors Tournament.

Reservations for squad times may be made at any time by calling (702)806-7234, or emailing Randy Parker at the NSUSBCA office .Payment IS NOT due when reserving squads but must be paid in full by the squad start time. Once you reserve a time you must pay for that entry fee regardless if you bowl or not.
