10-12yrs DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE TRIALS 2017
RUGBY LEAGUE
Dear Principal / Coach / Physical Education Teacher,
On behalf of our association I extend an invitation to you to nominate suitable players for the 10-12yrs Rugby League Representative Trials. The Townsville/Thuringowa District Rep team is selected from these trials (see attached sheet to see which District your school is in).
Please ensure that players you nominate are worthy of being considered for selection in the Representative Teams.
1. Nominations Only players nominated by you will be eligible for selection.
Players that attend schools which do not play Rugby League are still eligible for selection. Please consider children who may not play Rugby League but possess a high level of sporting ability.
A high standard of behaviour is expected of nominees.
2. Close of Nominations Nominations must be faxed or scanned and emailed NO LATER than Wednesday 18th March – 5.00pm.

All Nominations Forms must have Principal’s signature.
If you have no players to nominate please indicate this on your form and return it.
3. Player Notification Please photocopy and pass on both the attached ‘Information Sheet To Parents’ and ‘Permission Note’ to those players you wish to nominate. To be eligible to trial these players must bring the signed permission note with them to the trials. Those players without a permission note will not be allowed to trial.
4. Date/Venue of Trials Thursday 26 March, TSVL Sports Reserve (the Red Track), 3.00pm
5. Ages Only players born between 2005 – 2006 can be nominated. They can not
turn thirteen (13) this year.
6. Footwear At these trials, players have the option of wearing boots. These boots must not have screw in tags. Alternately players are allowed to wear sandshoes / joggers.
7. Mouthguards All players must wear a mouthguard unless they have written permission from their parents
8. Further Trials North Queensland Trials - May 3 & 4 Ayr
State Championships - June 24 – 30 The Gold Coast
9. Selection Officials In order for the selection trials to run smoothly 8 teachers are required for each trial. If you can assist at the trial please RSVP in the appropriate section of the Nomination Form.

Your child has been invited to attend the 10-12yrs Rugby League Townsville District Trials.
1. TIME 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm on Thursday 26 March 2015.
2. VENUE TSVL Sports Reserve, (Red Track).
3. BOOTS Players have the option of wearing boots. These boots must not have screw in tags. Alternately players are allowed to wear sandshoes / joggers.
5. MOUTH All players participating in these trials must wear a mouthguard. If you wish your child to GUARDS play without a mouthguard please complete the permission form attached.
6. FURTHER All players must be prepared to continue in the selection process to State level. .

7. COSTS All costs associated with further selections will be the responsibility of parents.
Players who are selected in the Townsville team will be asked to pay a levy of approximately $70 – includes team shirt, water bottle, shorts and socks.
If selected in the North Queensland Team to play at the State Championships they will be expected to pay a levy of approximately $450 - $500.
