Course Description
Course aims:
This course is aimed at those students who have achieved well in Year 11 and who know that they wish to pursue a career that requires Earth and Space Science. The course consists of Achievement Standards from the Level 2 Earth and Space Science.
Course learning outcomes:
- Investigate the composition of planet Earth and gain an understanding of
the processes which shape it;
- investigate the geological history of planet Earth and understand that our
planet has a long past and has undergone many changes;
- investigate and understand relationships between planet Earth and its
solar system, galaxy, and the universe;
- investigate how people’s decisions and activities change planet Earth’s
physical environment, and develop a responsibility for the guardianship
of planet Earth and its resources.
