2017-2018 IBMYP English 9 Presumed Knowledge

Hi Rising IBMYP Ninth Graders!

I look forward to meeting you this fall. Here are just some basic literary terms, parts of speech, and parts of a sentence to review before we start the new school year. Feel free to look up any that you do not know.

I have enclosed the book list of the texts that we will be reading and analyzing during the upcoming school year. I do not allow e-books or other electronic texts to be used in class, so please purchase, borrow, or check a copy out from a library. They also have specific ISBN numbers, so while it is not required to have the same version, it is helpful to have the edition listed below.

Also, check the supply list for more information about what you will need in IBMYP English 9.

Have a great summer!

Ms. Gay
