2017-2018 Csu Goizueta Foundation Scholarship

2017-2018 CSU GOIZUETA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was made possible by the Goizueta Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. Established by Roberto C. Goizueta, former chairman of Coca-Cola, the Goizueta Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life of determined Hispanic individuals and their families through education.

Columbus State University is committed to contribute to this mission by increasing the population of Hispanic teachers in Georgia. Therefore, this need-based scholarship will cover up to tuition and fees for one full academic year. Additionally, this unique program provides recipients with a bilingual advisor who will guide them through their college career, engage them in the local Hispanic community and campus activities, and maintain strong ties with their families.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be an undergraduate student accepted for admission at Columbus State University (CSU)
  • Establish financial need as determined by the CSU Financial Aid Office. Complete the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. List CSU’s code 001561. (NOTE: If you are not eligible to submit your FAFSA online please complete the FAFSA: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/options.htm
  • Be of Hispanic/Latino heritage with family residing in the U.S.
  • Be in good academic standing.
  • Must be an officer in CHISPA (Columbus State University Hispanic Association)
  • Preference given to students in the College of Education.
  • Submit the following by May 5th, 2017.
  • CSU Goizueta Foundation Scholarship essay and application. For more information please visit the website our Undergraduate Scholarships website at: http://finaid.columbusstate.edu/scholarships/
  • At least one letter of recommendation from a faculty member or local sponsor in the community.
  • If applicable submit the FAFSA to the U.S. Department of Education online. Paper FAFSA will only be accepted for non-resident aliens.
