AHOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE ERRICKA MICHELLE FLESCHOF SUMTERCOUNTY ON HER GRADUATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA, TO THANK HER FOR HER FAITHFUL SERVICE AS A HOUSE PAGE, AND TO WISH HER WELL IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Erricka Michelle Fleschof SumterCounty, having successfully completed a double major in finance and real estate, has earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina (USC) on May 5, 2017; and

Whereas, the daughter of Josh and SusanThompsonof Sumter County, Erricka has consistently proven herself an exceptional student. During her years at USC, she has been named to the Dean’s List, earned a LIFE Scholarship, and received University honors; and

Whereas, as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity, she has served on the event planning and the new membercommittees, and she has served as an assistant for Greek Week; and

Whereas, in addition, Erricka interned as a staff assistant for the South Carolina Republican Party under Chairman Matt Moore and Executive Director Hope Walker, and she campaigned and worked in the presidential primary for Dr. Ben Carson as chief representative for Collegians for Carson at USC; and

Whereas, while she necessarily spent many hours of her college career studying, Erricka Flesch still found time to work as an associate with Homeyer Strategy Group, LLC, with a primary focus on event planning for numerous members of the General Assembly, and as a page for Mitch Dorman on the Sergeant at Arms’ Desk in the South Carolina House of Representativessince May 2016; and

Whereas, Erricka plans toreturn to Sumter to work in commercial real estate and be actively involved in her community, where she is a member of Christ Community Church. She is engaged to be married to Laughton Jones, the son of Jim and Marsha Jones, all of Sumter; and

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is grateful for the dedication to excellence in academics and service exhibited in the lives of outstanding students like Erricka Flesch, and the members look with interest to hear of her continued accomplishments in the days ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

Thatthe members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Erricka Michelle Fleschof SumterCounty on her graduation from the University of South Carolina, thank her for her faithful service as a House page, and wish her well in all her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Erricka Michelle Flesch.
