2016 Rules and Regulations:

6500 Street Stock Gas

  1. Must have valid registration and insurance card from home state
  2. Must have license plate
  3. Trucks must have four wheel working brakes
  4. Tires must be DOT approved, no modifications allowed
  5. Must pull from class 3 or drawbar hitch, hitch must be behind box (minimum of 3 inch clevis with at least a ¾ inch pin
  6. Truck must have 3 inches of workable suspension, no solid blocking (traction bars are allowed)
  7. Motor must be naturally aspirated
  8. Aluminum intake and headers are allowed
  9. No open headers, exhaust must exceed cab of truck
  10. May use anything for carburetors but only use one with no visual modifications
  11. May only run gasoline or racing gasoline (no alcohol, NOS, nitro)
  12. No front weights or brackets, weights in box only, no hidden weights
  13. Plow frames allowed
  14. Stock class trucks can be trailered in, but driver must be willing to take inspector on test drive
  15. Cast iron blocks and heads allowed no aluminum unless OEM

7500 Modified Gas

  1. Must meet all safety requirements
  2. Trucks must have four wheel working brakes
  3. Tires must be DOT approved, no modifications allowed
  4. Must pull from class 3 or drawbar hitch, hitch must be behind box (minimum of 3 inch clevis with at least a ¾ inch pin
  5. Motor must be naturally aspirated
  6. Aluminum intake and headers are allowed
  7. May use anything for carburetors but only use one
  8. May only run gasoline or racing gasoline (no alcohol, NOS, nitro)
  9. Front weight brackets allowed
  10. Plow frames allowed
  11. Cast iron blocks and heads allowed
  12. Truck must have open exhaust
  13. Rear drive shaft must have safety loops
  14. No carburetor or air cleaner protruding above surface of hood

8000 lb. Work Stock Street Diesel

  1. Valid registration and license plates are mandatory
  2. Must be a diesel truck ¾ or 1 ton
  3. Fuel must be #1 or #2 diesel only, soy bio-diesel is permitted
  4. 8000 lb. weight with the driver
  5. Hitch must be a receiver style hitch, reinforcements are allowed, reinforcements must not extend forward of the centerline of the rear axle or the axle housing itself. Trick hitches are prohibited. The hooking point must be the rear-most point on the vehicle and must be rearward of the stock location of the tailgate. Bumpers may be notched or removed. The hitches height from the ground may not exceed 26 inches on 4wd trucks and 30 inches on 2wd trucks. The hooking point must have a minimum 3.750 inch inside diameter opening for the sled hook
  6. Ballast may be added in the bed of the truck, if used, ballast must be securely fastened to the bed. Final decisions rest with the event tech., in cab ballast is prohibited
  7. Traction bars and suspension stops are recommended
  8. Turbocharger is limited to a stock appearing, OEM/ Factory make-specific charger only. Turbochargers from different years in the same make may be interchanged, no adapters to accept other model turbo, 6.4 liter powerstroke engines may utilize the factory twin-turbo configuration
  9. The fuel injection pump is limited to a stock-appearing, OEM engine model specific pump only. The use of multiple high pressure common rail fuel pumps is prohibited. Powerstroke engines with a single factory turbo may not utilize a second HPOP. Pumps from different years in the same engine model may be interchanged. Cylinder number specific (6 cylinder pump on a 6 cylinder engine). Ag governors are prohibited. Sigma or 12 cylinder pumps are prohibited.
  10. OEM fuel tank is mandatory and must be used, racing fuel cells are prohibited
  11. The engine block must have been available as a factory option on a one ton or smaller pickup truck.
  12. Electric water pumps allowed, electric cooling fans allowed
  13. 3/8” cross bolts in downpipe required or exhaust must exit upward
  14. U-Joint scatter shield on rear differential recommended
  15. Limited to DOT street tires, cut tires are prohibited, dual wheels will be allowed
  16. No nitrous, water or propane injection
  17. Factory style or aftermarket air-air coolers are permitted, water to air coolers are prohibited
  18. Batteries must be securely mounted, they may not be located in the driver compartment or forward of the radiator core support.
  19. Four-wheel functional brakes are mandatory
  20. OEM chassis is mandatory, wheel tubs, back-half conversions, tube chassis, etc., are prohibited
  21. OEM transmission and transfer case are mandatory, they must have been an option on a one ton or smaller pickup.
  22. OEM restraint system is mandatory and must be worn
  23. Two front seats are mandatory
  24. Complete OEM windshield and windows are mandatory
  25. OEM style suspension is mandatory, lowering or raising the vehicle height with suspension modifications is permitted. Traction bars and devices are permitted. All OEM suspension mounting points must be retained and used, sway bars, limit straps and camber kits are permitted. The rear suspension must maintain a minimum compression shock travel on one inch, compression stops must be adjustable. All rear suspensions must use a least one working shock absorber per wheel. Airbag spring assistance is permitted; airbag compressors must be disconnected

8500 Modified Diesel Class

  1. Must be a diesel truck ¾ or 1 ton
  2. Fuel must be #1 or #2 diesel only, soy bio-diesel is permitted
  3. 8500 lb. weight with the driver
  4. Hitch must be a receiver style hitch, reinforcements are allowed, reinforcements must not extend forward of the centerline of the rear axle or the axle housing itself. Trick hitches are prohibited. The hooking point must be the rear-most point on the vehicle and must be rearward of the stock location of the tailgate. Bumpers may be notched or removed.   5. Hanging weights are permitted
  6. Ballast may be added in the bed of the truck, if used, ballast must be securely fastened to the bed. Final decisions rest with the event tech., in cab ballast is prohibited
  7. Traction bars and suspension stops are recommended
  8. 3/8” cross bolts required
  9. Exhaust must exit upward
  10. U-Joint shields encouraged where visible form side of truck
  11. Driveshaft loops encouraged
  12. No turbo limit
  13. Limited to DOT street tires, cut tires are prohibited, dual wheels will be allowed
  14. Bell housing blankets encouraged
  15. No nitrous, water or propane injection
  16. The use of multiple high-pressure common-rail fuel pumps is permitted. Powerstroke engines with a single factory turbo may utilize a second HPOP. Pumps from different years in the same engine model may be interchanged.
  17. Factory style or aftermarket air-air coolers are permitted, water to air coolers are prohibited
  18. No Open Driveline!!!

Tech inspection will be performed if something is obvious, all decisions of pulling officials are final!!!
