2016 COMMUNITY PARTNER (OPERATING) FUND APPLICATION

The Chrysalis Foundation will award a limited number of Community Partner (Operating) grants up to $7,500are available to organizations in Polk, Warren, and Dallas Counties aligned with the Foundation mission and priorities(not to exceed 20% of the organization budget).

MISSION:

Chrysalis invests in the safety, security, education, and economic empowerment of girls and women in our community. We do this in partnership with agencies and services vital to girls’ and women’s success through grants, community education, and donor support.

PRIORITIES

Safety: Freedom from violence, unsafe and unhealthy living conditions, and homelessness.

Security: Mental, physical, behavioral, and financial well-being.

Education: High School/Equivalent graduation, job and employment readiness skills.

Economic Empowerment: Stable employment, sufficient income, and the capacity to make and act

upon economic decisions.

Fundingwill be awarded in December 2015 for use during the 2016 calendar year.

SCORING will be based upon demonstration of:

1.alignment with Chrysalis mission and priorities

2.services specialized for and delivered to girls and women

3.relevance to community needs

4.strong organizational leadership and management

5.financial health and sustainability

6.systems to measure and evaluate results

FUNDED ORGANIZATIONS MUST:

·participate in 2 Grantee Roundtables in May and October 2016

·attend at least 3 Women’s Alliance educational meetings during 2016 (schedule TBD)

·participate in 1 grant planning meeting with Chrysalis in January 2016

·participate in Final Report meeting with Chrysalis staff (February 2017)
