Those interested in enrolling in EDS377H5/UTM377H5 - Why First-Year University Matters: Exploring the Impact of Peer Mentoring (HUM, EXP)and completing an internship as a LAUNCH Leader with the Office of Student Transition are strongly encouraged to attend one of these information sessions to learn more about the course, internship requirements, employment opportunities, and hear from a panel of previous LAUNCH Leaders!

Application, Resume and Cover Letter Due – Late applications will not be considered

MondayJanuary 23rd at noon

All candidates applyingfor a position with the Office of Student Transition for the 2016-2017 school year are required to complete the attached application package along with a cover letter, resume and copy a of the Co-Curricular Record. All application packages are to be submitted to the drop box at DV2093 by the deadline or submitted via email to .

Cover Letters should highlight the following:

  • What inspired you to apply for the LAUNCH Leader internship?
  • What experiences have you had that make you a role model for new to UTM student?

Internship SelectionCarousel Offers

By Friday February 3rd, 2016

You will be contacted by email if you are selected to participate in the internship selection carousel.

Carousel Dates

Friday February 17th and Saturday February 18th

Please make sure that you select all interview availability on your application form. You will be randomly placed into small groups with other applicants. Your group will rotate through several stations where various skills will be assessed. The Carousel will take approximately 2.5 hours.

InternshipOffers Made

Friday March 17th, 2016

Applicants who attended the carousel will be contacted regarding whether they were successful or not in the process. More information on course enrollment and accepting the internship offer will be provided at this time.

Offer Acceptance Day

Friday March 24th before midnight

This will be the final day for successful applicants to accept their LAUNCH internship offers.
