Dear Captains

Congratulations to you and your team for winning your district and qualifying to compete in Illinois State Championships. You will find the general information for this championship below. Other important documents are included in the championship folder on the NITA website.

Tournament Entry Fees:See Team Fees page below. Entry fees must be paid at captain'sregistration.

One check per team should be made payable to NITA.

Captain’s Registration and responsibilities:

1. Captains and their team members who are participating in the matchare required to register 45

minutes prior totheir first match and 35 minutes before each additionally scheduled match. Be

preparedto play 30 minutes prior to each published match time.

2. It is the captain’s responsibility to make sure that their players are in the vicinity of the tournament

desk and ready to play when the matches are called. Late players/teams will be penalized.

3. Lineup sheets will be provided for your matches. All lineups must be submitted to the tournament

desk no later than 35 minutes prior to the scheduled match. The tournament desk staff is happy to

take lineups prior to the 35 minute deadline and will protect the lineup information from view.

4. Team Picture appointments should be made with the tournament desk at registration.

Tournament Information:

Rules:The 2015USTA/Midwest Section Championship Regulations…, which are in the championship

folder on the NITA website, will be used for this championshipwith the following exceptions:

1. Teams must register 45 minutes prior to their first match and 35 minutes prior to additional matches.
2. Players will be allowed 30 minutes rest between matches in the same division

Match Format:See 2015 USTA/Midwest Section Championship Regulations, #6 and #21

Court Surface: Hard courts– indoor and possibly outdoor

Locker Rooms: Centre Court has two sets of locker rooms on the main floor. The Racket Club has two locker

rooms, one is inside the club and one is by the outdoor courts.

Towels: Please bring your own towels.

Water & snacks:Centre Court has water and sport drink machines. The Racket Club has one beverage

vending machine and has water pitchers and ice which may be used on the courts. Fruit and

snack bars will be provided at both locations.

Practice Courts: UNAVAILABLE! Teams will not be allowed to use empty courts for practice.

Scorecards: Home teams are listed first on the schedule and will use the dark green background if applicable.

Coaching: Not allowed

Match Times: Matches will be called as soon as courts are available but no sooner than 30 minutes prior to the

published match time.

Rest Period: A minimum rest period of 30 minuteswill be allowed between matches. Players who wish to

waive this rest period may do so.

Progression: Winners will be given additional information which must be completed in order to advance to

the next level of championships.
