Inductees
-Andrew Cohen, D.M.D. (LMHS Class of 1990), is a dentist practicing in Jenkintown. In his practice, he does dental and cosmetic dentistry and also treats obstructive sleep apnea and snoring disorders. His many accomplishments include being listed among the “Top Dentists” in Philadelphia Magazine and the Be Well Philadelphia Magazine.
-Kate Jacoby (Class of 1998), along with her husband, Richard Landau, are the Chefs/ Owners of Vedge and their newest effort, V Street, a global street food bar. With her husband, Kate won the Produce Innovation Award from Cooking Light Magazine and is the author of Vedge: 100 Plates Large and Small That Redefine Vegetable Cooking.
-Adam Levin (Class of 2003) is an international development and security professional, and is currently working as a Project Manager and Knowledge Management Advisor for Internews, an international non-profit organization whose mission is to securely give people the news and information they need, the ability to connect and the means to make their voices heard.
-Terrill (Terry) McLean (Class of 1955) is an architect who has designed and managed construction of 531 projects representing a market value of $350 million. From residential additions to multi-million dollar commercial buildings, structures designed by Terry McLean combine beauty of form, functional use of space and the latest improvements in construction technology.
-Dr. AditiNerurkar (Class of 1994) is board certified in internal medicine and integrative medicine andis also trained in mindfulness meditation. She is Assistant Medical Director at the CHENG-TSUIIntegrated Health Center at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. In addition to patient care and research, Dr. Nerurkar writes about integrative medicine for the Huffington Post and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, ABC World News Tonight, CNN, and on National Public Radio.
-Phyllis SatinskySudman (Class of 1989) is being honored for her work in launching and maintaining Simon’s Fund, an organization which raises awareness about sudden cardiac arrest death in children, which is named after her son who passed away suddenly at three months of age. With the support of Simon’s Fund, more than 10,000 families have had their children screened, and more than 65 have discovered heart conditions.
The Hall of Fame also has two Inductees in the Friends of the Lower Moreland Lions category.Diana Sullivan is being honored for her 35 years of service as a teacher at Lower Moreland and the many extracurricular activities with which she was involved and the many awards she won over the years.Connie Thompson is being honored posthumously for her 35 years of service as a dedicated employee and as an exceptional advocate for the students at Lower Moreland High School.
A dinner will be held to honor our Inductees on Friday, April 10 at Philmont Country Club. All are invited to attend.
