ASENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE REVIRA “REVA” BRENNAN, CAE, IOM, OF IRMO, UPON BEING CHOSEN THE 2015 ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA SOCIETY OF ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVES.

Whereas, Revira “Reva” Brennan, CAE, IOM, of Irmo, has been selected as the 2015 Association Executive of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives; and

Whereas, in being so chosen, Reva has received the top honor of her profession bestowed upon only thirty association executives since 1985; and

Whereas, Reva has brought positive professional attention to herself and to the profession of association management on a statewide and national basis by serving on numerous committees and as the President of the South Carolina Society of Association Executives, and is recognized for her accomplishments and dedication to professional growth; and

Whereas, Reva has provided leadership to the certified public accounting industry and membership of the South Carolina Association of CPAs as COO for the past three years and as a staff member for more than fourteen years; and

Whereas, Reva has demonstrated success not only within the association management profession, but also as a community leader, currently serving as Treasurer of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce Diversity Council, Vice President of Public Relations for the Lexington County Toastmasters, as a tutor at the United Way Midlands Reading Consortium, and as Children’s Ministry Leader for Fresh Church; and

Whereas, Reva has served with the highest standards of work ethic, care and concern for the membership and staff of her association and is a dedicated, professional, and outstanding individual deserving of this recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulates Revira “Reva” Brennan, CAE, IOM, of Irmo, upon being chosen the 2015 Association Executive of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Reva Brennan, CAE, IOM.
