Whereas, the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home, one of the most modern of its kind in the country, welcomed its first five residents on March 4, 1991; and

Whereas, since that date, the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home has served two thousand seventy-six veterans with trained specialists in a variety of health care disciplines, the latest in medical technology and equipment, full support services onsite, and convenient access to nearby amenities; and

Whereas, the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Home is consistently recognized and ranked as a quality provider of services by state and federal agencies; and

Whereas, under the leadership of Director John Magill and the Department of Mental Health, the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Home continues to provide quality, veteranfocused care and services in an environment of respect and honor for the service of veterans to our country; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives join the residents of the Anderson community in their sincere gratitude and appreciation for those veterans who have given so much in the defense of the freedoms we enjoy every day, and salute this wonderful facility for what it has done for our State’s veterans. Now, therefore,
