AHOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE DEBORAH “LYNNE” SHORT OF LEXINGTON ON THE OCCASION OF HERSIXTIETH BIRTHDAY AND TO WISH HERJOYOUS BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS THAT CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AHEAD.

Whereas, on November 2, 2015, Deborah “Lynne” Short of Lexington awakened to a milestone event in her life, her sixtieth birthday; and

Whereas, the daughter of Reed and Ruby Short of Columbia, Lynne Short entered this world on November 2, 1955; and

Whereas, in preparation for her career, she graduated from Columbia High School in 1973 and the University of South Carolina in 1977; and

Whereas, Lynneis employed by South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation‒Disability Determination Services; and

Whereas, away from the office, this proud mother of daughter Brantley and son Joshua enjoys gardening in her yard, socializing with friends, and taking care of her “granddog,” Bowman. She is also an advocate for children with special needs; and

Whereas, to honor Lynne at this very special time in her life, family and friends gathered with her to celebrate her sixtieth birthday on November 14, 2015, a time of festivity that was shared with her friend Brenda Maciaszek, with whom Lynne also enjoyed a joint “Sweet Sixteen” party; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives takes great pleasure in honoring this daughter of South Carolina on the recent celebration of hersixtieth birthday, and the members join with her family and friends in congratulating her on reaching this important life milestone. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Deborah “Lynne” Short of Lexington on the occasion of hersixtieth birthday and wish her joyous birthday blessings that continue throughout the year ahead.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Deborah “Lynne” Short.
