We welcome you joining us in Pasadena, California this New Year to celebrate the 11th Donate Life Rose Parade float entry, themed Light Up the World. The Donate Life Float Committee is proud to host a series of extraordinary events surrounding our Rose Parade participation. Please complete the attached Event Participation and Float Decorating forms in order to secure your party’s participation in the various Donate Life events being held from Dec. 29 to Jan. 2. Sun Dec 29-Tue Dec 31 / Float Decorating / Times vary; Phoenix Decorating Rosemont Pavilion
Due to limited capacity, priority will go to groups designated for each shift: floragraph families, float riders/guests, and sponsor representatives. Decorators must be 13 years old. Younger children may join parents on a tour of Rosemont Pavilion. Warm, very casual attire. Transportation from Sheraton Pasadena provided.

Float riders meet one another, sign commemorative posters, and plan for the next several days’ activities. Casual attire. Walking distance from Sheraton Pasadena.

Float participants, sponsors and guests enjoy a special evening featuring a silent auction, raffle, inspiring speakers and entertainment. Cocktail attire. Walking distance from Sheraton Pasadena.
TueDec 31 / Float Judging / 2:30–4pm, Phoenix Decorating Rosemont Pavilion
After the float comes out of the barn for the first time, a dress rehearsal in front of the judges is the final step in determining award winners. Float riders required to attend in Rose Parade attire. Their family members, floragraph families and sponsors welcome. Lunch served by the legendary Taco Cart. Warm, comfortable attire. Transportation from Sheraton Pasadena provided.
Wed Jan 1 / 125th Rose Parade / 7am: Grandstands Open
8am–11am: Rose Parade
Choose from two seating locations:
300 E Colorado Blvd: Fronting the entrance plaza to the Paseo Colorado shopping complex, these grandstands are two blocks north of the Sheraton Pasadena. View up the street is obstructed by buildings. Seat holders will have access to Paseo Colorado’s private restrooms.
$75 each.
240/235 W Colorado Blvd: These grandstands on opposite sides of the Parade route are 3/4 mile west and two blocks north of the Sheraton Pasadena between “media corner” and Downtown Pasadena. Though more expensive than the other grandstands, the view looking up the street is completely unobstructed. Families and sponsors of float riders or floragraphs positioned on the north side of the float will be seated in the 235 W Colorado Blvd stands, which face south. All others will be seated at 240 W Colorado Blvd, which will have a full view of float riders and floragraphs on the south side of the float as it passes by. $100 each.

Informal lunch gathering immediately following Rose Parade. Not recommended for Rose Bowl Game attendees sitting in 235/240 West Grandstands. Steps from the 300 E Colorado Blvd grandstands.

*NOTE: Float Decorating spaces are limited. Selecting a shift above does not guarantee your participation.
When deciding whether to sign up for decorating, please keep the following in mind:
- Float decorating is long, hard work in a potentially dangerous environment.
- The minimum age for float decorating is 13. Families with younger children should choose the Tour of Rosemont Pavilion as an alternative.
- All decorators are required to report to decorating on time and stay until dismissed by the crew chiefs. Shifts are typically 7-8 hours including a meal break.
- If you have any hesitation regarding spending seven hours inside a cold barn on a beautiful Southern California day, decorating may not be right for you. Instead, opt for the tour or an excursion.
