How To Apply

Applications are available online at www.usaultimate.org.

1.  APPLICATION FORM - Fill out the application form on line.

2.  RECOMMENDATION(S) – You will need to obtain a recommendation from a non-related adult that knows sports, knows Ultimate, knows you, and has seen you play. You will be able to forward the recommendation form on to your advocate. Please check with your advocate prior to applying to be sure that he/she will write your recommendation. If your advocate does not have an e-mail address, you will be given the option to print out the recommendation. Give the recommendation form with a pre-stamped and addressed envelope to your advocate. Finding someone to recommend you should be the first thing you do. Please ask someone other than a Selection Committee member to write your recommendation.

VIDEO – If you have been invited to a tryout camp and are unable to attend either date/location, please contact the Manager of College Competition and Athlete Programs about submitting a DVD or VHS video. The video should have the elements listed above and be labeled clearly with your name.

3.  USA ULTIMATE MEMBERSHIP – You must be a current, 2013, USA Ultimate member to apply for and to play on the US team. If you are not a member, please include the membership form and a check for $50.00 with your application. You may call USA Ultimate to ask about your membership status. Your support of USA Ultimate helps provide better and better service for the Sport of Ultimate – thanks!

4.  PROOF OF AGE, CITIZENSHIP/RESIDENCY, STUDENT STATUS, PERMISSION, PASSPORT, UNIFORM SIZE & PAYMENT- Players invited to join the team(s) will be asked to provide these essentials very quickly to confirm their spot on the team. Team members must be under 23 as of December 31st, 2012, must be US citizens (or have lived in the US for at least the last two years), and must have parent/guardian permission, if applicable (under 20). If a player turns 23 anytime in the 2012 calendar year, he or she is not eligible.
