2013 LOYAL CORN FESTIVAL PARADE
You are cordially invited to participate in the annual Loyal Corn Festival Parade. This is our 55th year and we would like to have you join for a CORNucopia of FUN.
DATE: August 25, 2013
TIME: 12:30 p.m., all entrants should be in place by 12:00 Noon
PLACE: Loyal High School, 514 Central St (Concession stand)

Please note: Our Registration Point is at a NEW location—we will be registering at the Loyal High School concession stand at 514 West Central St. Please report to the registration table for parade numbers and place assignments starting at 10:30 a.m. Larger entries will be staged at the County garage and will be registered by radio with one of our parade helpers.
Trophies will be awarded based on the judges’ decisions in the following categories: Best of Parade, Great Corn Award (for best use of our theme), Corniest Award (most humorous), Service Float, Religious Float, Youth Float, Best Band, Marching Service, Horsemanship, and Antique Vehicle.
Parade entry is free for non-political units; political units are assessed $25/unit. Checks can be made payable to the Loyal Corn Fest. Parade awards will be announced after the parade at 3 p.m. and posted by the Information Booth.
Safety is our first priority. We do allow candy and handouts to be given out during the parade, but NOTHING CAN BE THROWN TO BYSTANDERS DURING THE PARADE!!!
ALL ENTRIES ARE TO BE IN BY August 10, 2013! Late entries will not be judged and will be put at the end of the route—NO EXCEPTIONS! Please fill out the enclosed form including length of entry, proof of insurance (if it has changed from last year or you are a new entrant), and the category you best fit into for judging purposes. If you are no longer the person in charge of your group, please let me know so I can update our list for next year. We look forward to seeing you in this year’s parade.
