2013 CHRISTMAS GIVING POLICY
Thank you so very much for thinking of our guests at this special time of year. We strive to make Christmas wonderful for every guest that is with us for the Holidays.
In the true spirit of Christmas, we will be keeping things simple this year; Christmas will be celebrated at each shelter, everyone will get a gift or two, and some things will be saved for use when the families move into permanent housing.
It has become difficult to have individual families “adopted.” Many families do not stay with us for more than 30 days – so the family “adopted” today may not even be with us on Christmas. Then, there are always families that don’t get adopted, and that is simply not fair.
Gifts that are always appreciated include:
· Children’s books, all ages
· Bath and beauty items (nail polish and care kits/sets, ladies bath sets, girls bath sets, etc.)
· NEW baby or kids clothes, up to age 14
· Towels, blankets
· CHILD SAFE TOYS, make sure no small, removable, or choking hazard pieces
· Board games, jigsaw puzzles
· Socks for everyone!
· Gift cards to Target, Wal-Mart, Kohls or Pick & Save
· Christmas cookies or cupcakes
NO SINGLE GIFT OR GIFT CARD OVER $25.00. DO NOT GIFT WRAP.
