Student Costs:

In this course, you will be responsible for the cost and purchase of the following items:

  • Personal Sewing Kit (scissors, straight pins, pin cushion, seam ripper, measuring tape)
  • Patterns (you will have a set of patterns to choose from for the Garment Construction project)
  • Fabric (you will choose your own fabric for your patterns)
  • Notions (determined by the pattern chosen: buttons, thread, needles, elastic, etc.)

Our Classroom Environment:

You will be expected to respect the space, body, voice, and esteem of others. That is, keep your own objects / items to yourself; only touch a fellow student’s self or possessions after being given permission by that student; do not talk or distract when others are addressing the class or a group; and, allow your fellow students to feel comfortable coming to and participating in class by NOT ridiculing them for the risks they may take (in what they say, think, look like, or wear).
