2012 Project Report Form

Dear Conservation Partner:

For several years, the Intermountain West Joint Venture (IWJV) has systematically gathered habitat project information for reporting purposes to the US Fish and Wildlife Service. This important record of activities has been, and continues to be, more important than ever given current challenges with the recession and economy. Congress, the Administration, federal and state agencies, and most importantly, the American taxpayer, are seeking indicators of performance and accountability in relation to fiscal constraints. This means that as public and private partners invested in conservation, there is a critical need to gather and report cooperative accomplishments that meet strategic habitat conservation goals through meaningful and transparent mechanisms.

We are asking conservation partners that have benefited from IWJV funding, partnership support, and/or science to continue to help us track accomplishments through filling out the form below for FY 2012. Accomplishments will be summarized in an annual report to the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Office of Management and Budgets (OMB) on how federal funding is being used to deliver habitat conservation for birds. The report also provides a mechanism to track long-term goals for habitat conservation, current and projected needs for wetland and upland projects. The project accomplishments are meant to be cumulative conservation successes, with all sources of public and private funding listed.

Please fill out the form below for eachon-the-ground bird habitat project completed between October 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012 and return to IWJV Assistant Coordinator, Ali Duvall at by October 29. If you do not have any completed projects for this time frame, please let us know that as well (simply email Ali stating “no projects to report”). For questions, please call Ali at (406)329-3186 or email your questions. Thanks!
