Session Description
Getting the Most from Your Online Marketing: Best Practices for Email, Social Media & Event Marketing
In this “how-to” session, you will learn how online marketing tools (email marketing, event management, and social media marketing), coupled with marketing KnowHow, can help you stand out in a noisy environment and drive results for your organization.
Learn from your peers what works for them in these three areas essential to your Chambers success!
Constant Contact has brought together three Chamber Executives who are doing all the right things in their email, social media and event marketing activities! What do they do that you could use in your Chamber?
They will share their hints and tips, what works and what doesn’t, and provide you with actual real life examples of how to make these tools work for you. Come ready to ask questions!!
Topics included are:
· How to get people to like your Facebook page
· How to use social media to drive event attendance
· How to use email and social media together to promote events, communicate with diverse audiences and generate non-dues revenue
· How to get people to open your emails
· Segmenting your communications
· How to convert your print newsletter to an e-newsletter
· And much more!
Case Studies/Examples
The other thing that I would like for you to do is to find a few examples of email campaigns, social media posts, etc. that we can use as case studies/examples for those in attendance. If you can do screen shots of them, that would be great. If not, then just come prepared to talk about what it is that you do and give some specific examples for the attendees.

Closing Thought
What one word of advice would you give to ensure a Chambers’ success in their email & social media communication?
Questions & Answers
We will have a question and answer segment at the end but also allow those in the audience to ask question throughout.
We will be showing examples of social media posts & emails you would like to share from your chamber and others during the session. Please save anything you can electronically (on a flash drive or email them to me) or simply bring samples to pass around the room.
It is highly likely that we won’t be able to cover everything on this outline. Also, we may go off into areas not even listed. That’s ok! The goal of this session is to be sure that those that attend walk away with some concrete ideas that they can implement in their chamber.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any thoughts or ideas!
