2012/13 YMC Volunteer Programme for the Elderly in Need
(“精彩工程”)
Criteria of Volunteers:
- Priority given to Registered Young Members;
- Fluent in Cantonese, proficiency in Putonghua and/or Chinese dialects is a merit;
- Have a passion for serving and spending time with the elderly;
- Willing to travel to Choi Hung to meet the elderly;
- Organize activities to be enjoyed with their assigned elderly during subsequent regular visits (at least once every 3 months);
- Regular contacts with their assigned elderly through phone calls (at least once per month);
- Briefing session cum first visit with the elderly on 5 Jan 2013;
- At least one mass gathering with other elderly and volunteers (first one to be held on 16 Mar 2013).
