AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 77490, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO RENAME THE INMAN MILLS BAPTIST VOTING PRECINCT THE GREATER ST. JAMES VOTING PRECINCT AND REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE DIVISION OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Spartanburg County voting precincts designated
SECTION 1. Section 77490 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 54 of 2009, is further amended to read:
“Section 77490. (A) In Spartanburg County there are the following voting precincts:

(B) The precinct lines defining the precincts in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map on file with the Division of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board and as shown on copies provided to the Board of Voter Registration of the county by the Division of Research and Statistics designated as document P8312.
(C) The polling places for the precincts listed in subsection (A) must be determined by the Spartanburg County Election Commission with the approval of a majority of the Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation.”
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor and applies to elections conducted after July 15, 2011.
Ratified the 8th day of May, 2012.
Approved the 14th day of May, 2012.
