In granting this sanction it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming and Inland Empire Swimming shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. Use of audio or visual recording, including the use of a cell phone camera, is not allowed in changing areas, rest rooms, locker rooms, or behind the starting blocks. Deck Changing is prohibited: Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in the facility locker rooms, or other designated area designated by the host facility, is not appropriate, and is prohibited.”

LOCATION: CWU Aquatic Center - Ellensburg, Washington

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Indoor, 10 lane 25 yard pool with anti-wave lane lines. Eight (8) lanes will be used for competition and one (1) lane for continuous warm-up/down use. The pool is 15’ deep at the starting block end and 4’ deep at the turn end. The starting blocks meet USAS height and water depth requirements. Deck Marshals will be present during warm-ups. Wheelchair access to lower deck level is available. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2c (4).l. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software and the Colorado 5000 Timing System will be used.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all USA Swimming registered swimmers. Athletes with a disability are welcome and are asked to provide advance notice of necessary accommodations. Age on the first day of the meet determines the age group to enter. Girls and Boys age groups include 8&U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-19. The USA Swimming SWIMS database requires that all swimmer data be correct before any meet data (swimmer times) will be loaded into the USA Swimming database. If you know of any swimmer data that is not correct in the meet database, please, notify the meet referee as soon as possible. The appropriate changes will be made. The data will be sent to USA Swimming within 3 days of the meet. Thanks for your cooperation.

RULES: Current USAS rules will govern the meet. IES rules and procedures also apply. The

Meet Referee shall be the final authority for the conduct of the meet. Swimmers participating in the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Referee at the start of the warm-up session. A USAS certified coach will be assigned and other instructions may be given. Meet marshals will be present during the warm-up session. Coaches must be current USA Swimming Coach Members. Proof of current USAS certification must be presented upon request of the Meet Referee or his/her designee. Only swimmers, coaches, officials and meet workers are permitted in the deck area. Spectators will not be allowed in the deck area without proof of current USA Swimming membership. The deck area is considered to be a 3 foot area from the edge of the pool and the area behind the start platforms up to the timer chairs. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USAS Member Coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

ENTRIES: All swimmers (including 8&U) may enter 5 individual events and one relay per day. PLEASE NOTE: No Time (NT) entries are permitted for all events except the 500 free and 400IM. You must submit a seed time for these events. The priority system will be in effect. If the Meet Director determines that the meet is over subscribed, 4th and 5th entries may be deleted and entry fees refunded. If you do not prioritize your events, the Meet Director may use his/her judgment in choosing 4th and 5th priorities. Swimmers must compete in their own age group, except for the 500 and 400 IM. These events are designated as 11-19. Entries will be limited to include all teams up to and including the team that has the 350th swimmer entered. Entries may be submitted by one of two methods: (1) E-mail Hy-tek Commlink file for individual events and relay to: . Entries will not be accepted unless hard copies and entry fees are received by the entry date. (2) alternatively, submit your team’s entries on the master entry form (located on the IE web-site) with seed time in yards. Indicate the 4th and 5th priority events each day by inserting a 4 or 5 in the upper right hand corner of the event. Team entries will not be accepted unless accompanied by ENTRY FEES AND A COMPLETED MASTER ENTRY FORM. All events are timed finals. The 500 free will be limited to 6 heats each of girls and boys. The 400 IM will be limited to 4 heats each of girls and boys. Each of these events will be deck seeded with a positive check-in. IES scratch rules will be in effect for these events. Swimmers must submit a time. NT will not be accepted for these events. These events will be swam together and scored separately for each age-group.

ENTRY FEES: $15.00 surcharge for each swimmer (includes $3.00 facility fee)

DEADLINE: Entries must be received by Wednesday, October 26, 2016. (IE priority deadline is October 19, 2016.) No late entries or phone entries will be accepted. We recommend sending entries by certified mail, return receipt requested.

AWARDS: Scoring will be to 8 places for all individual events and relays.

High Point awards will be given for each girl and boy in each age group. No team awards will be given.


WARM-UPS: Saturday and Sunday – 8:00-8:50AM – 13 and older swimmers

8:50-9:20AM – 12 and under swimmers

Diving is allowed only in designated sprint lanes at the discretion of the Meet Referee.

From Exit 190: Turn right at the end of the off ramp. Drive north via Canyon Road, then Main Street for 2 ½ miles to West 14th Avenue. Turn right onto West 14th Avenue. Go to the second stop sign and turn right onto North Walnut Street. The pool is the second building on your right. Parking is directly west and north of the pool.

From Exit 106:

Go east from the exit off ramp. Drive 2 miles on University Way and then turn left on North Water Street. Turn right onto West 14th Avenue.
