2010 School Psychologist of the Year Nomination

Nothing worthwhile comes easily, so get out there and support our profession and your fellow colleagues by nominating a preeminent school psychologist who dedicates a great majority of their time providing direct services to students, teachers, and parents in school settings, effecting students’ academic and social well-being. You also should encourage your administrators, special education coordinators, and fellow staff members, support personal and/or parents to nominate.

  • Nominator will complete aone-page nomination statement describing why the candidate should be considered for this award.The nominee must be a CSSP member or willing to join for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. The Nominee must also be practicing school psychologist who spends the majority of their time providing direct service to students, teachers, and parents in school settings. Trainers, researchers, or administrators are not eligible for this award Give specific examples in any of the following areas: advocacy, data based decision-making; consultation & collaboration; student diversity; development of cognitive, academic, social & life skills; knowledge of school and home/school community collaboration; job performance in an exemplary manner; earns respect of others; has professional memberships and leadership, are some examples.
  • Nominator must collect four, one-page letters of support (one must be from their nominees school(s) of employment) from colleagues, administration, students and/or parents about the candidate’s capabilities with a focus on the domain of school psychology.
  • Nominee must submit their resume and/or Professional Vita: Please remember to include presentations you have made to a school staff, parent group, district staff, community members, etc. Include the topic, audience and date of presentation. Also remember to include articles you have written for school or district newsletters, your local newspaper, your state association newsletter, etc. when listing references for publications.
  • Nomination materials must follow CSSP guidelines listed aboveand are due no later than October 1, 2010 for CSSP School Psychologist of the year.
