Written Word Specifications:

Entries must be typed on one side of 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of white paper. Works must be based on or influenced by Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Only one poem/work per page. Submit two (2) copies of the entry and a separate cover sheet stating the author’s name, address, phone number, e-mail address (if available), and the title of the entry. Write the category and age group on the top right of each page submitted. No names or copyright markings on entries.

Drawing, painting or photograph inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Watercolor, oil, pastels, colored pencils, acrylics, computer generated, etc. Entries may not be larger then 11” x 17” and must be matted on black paper/poster board.

  1. Entries must be matted on one side of a sheet of black paper/board. Only one entry per board. The largest the board can be (with picture matted on it) is 11” x 17”.
  1. Attach the entry from to the back of the art; do not use staples! No names or copyright markings on entries.
  2. All entries must be original works of art.
  1. Two dimensional art is defined as paintings, drawings, prints, and photography.
  1. Three dimensional art is defined as having height, width and depth. (There need only be 3D elements in the piece to be considered in the 3D category.)
