Summary Statement:

Briefly introduce your department, its initiatives and the goal(s) of the intern’s position.

Search & Affiliate Marketing Department of eCommerce manages Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Paid Search and Affiliate Marketing campaigns for Choice Hotels. The Internship is to help with various SEO initiatives like Reoptimization, Local Search, and Managing Franchisee requests for SEO review. Our goal is to provide timely support to the franchisees and to achieve incremental visits, revenue and booking for the eBrochures.

Responsibilities:

List and/or summarize the intern’s responsibilities pertaining to the department and/or projects.

Intern’s responsibilities include, but not limited, to the following:

1.  Manage SEO_Help email box and work on the SEO requests that come from franchisees which involves –

a.  Keyword Research

b.  Optimize the eBrochure Title Tag, Meta Description and Headline

c.  Optimize eBrochures that have had Brand Changes

2.  Local Search weekly updates to Google

a.  Troubleshooting and Reporting on Google Maps issues

3.  BrightEdge maintenance
