- Because the electronic application for the CoC is not yet available, details of the registration process, application, application submission date, and timely receipt requirements will be articulated in two publications to be issued in spring 2008. The expected publication date of the Notice of Funding Availability will be no earlier than July 1, 2008.
- Notification of the availability of registration instructions, the application, and other information will be released via the Grants.gov website.
- All those submitting grants – new and renewal – will be required to complete a five step registration process, which can take 2 to 4 weeks to complete.
- All agencies submitting grants must have:
- DUNS number and the information that DUN and Bradstreet has must match the information contained in the records of the IRS.
- Adobe Reader 8.1.2
- All agencies must register with the CCR
- If an agency is already registered with the CCR this registration MUST be updated
- This can be done by going to
- Be sure to have the following information when you begin the registration process:
- DUNS number
- EIN/TIN number
- Statistical Information about your agency
- Average Number of Employees for your location
- Average Annual Receipts for your location
- Average number of employees for your entire agency
- Average annual receipts for your entire agency
- Electronic Funds Transfer Information for payment of invoices
- ABA Routing number for your bank
- Account number and type
- This registration can be done immediately
- There will be other registration processes required of all agencies but they are not available yet. This information will be part of the spring 2008 and July 2008 notices for the CoC
- Applicants must be aware that all persons working on the Adobe forms in the application package must work using Adobe Reader 8.1.2 or the latest compatible version of Adobe Reader available from Grants.gov Failure to download and use the correct Adobe Reader will result in your not being able to create or submit your application package to Grants.gov or in your application being rejected by Grants.gov
- You will NOT be able to upload the application using a USB flash drive. HUD is unable to receive applications that have been uploaded from USB flash drives.
- Third-Party letters, certifications requiring signatures and other documentation will need to be scanned
- DO NOT download the same application package from Grants.gov more than once. Each download will be given a unique identifier and if an agency downloads the application more than once and tries to put it all together in one application to HUD, this will not be possible. HUD will see it as multiple incomplete applications.
- Applications should be submitted 48 – 72 hours in advance of the deadline date so as to give HUD time to receive it, to notify applicants of any problems and give applicants time to make corrections prior to the deadline.
- It seems HUD will be using the Logic Models more extensively this year
- “After being selected for funding and awarded funds, grantees will be required to submit a completed form HUD-96010, Logic Model, indicating results achieved against the proposed outputs and proposed outcomes stated in the grantee’s approved application and agreed to by HUD.”
- Frequency of Reports and Data Consistency
- When submitting eLogic Model reports on a quarterly or semiannual basis, each report should show the results that occurred during that reporting period……
