You are invited to be a part of a unique opportunity to demonstrate your support of public education in Mississippi at the fourthcollaborative statewide event co-hosted by the oldest educational consortium in the state, the Program of Research and Evaluation for Public Schools (PREPS, Inc.) and the outstanding partnership organization, the Mississippi Association of Partners in Education (MAPE) March 18-19, 2015, at the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, MS.

We are excited to have three featured speakers this year, Dr. Kylene Beers and Bob Probst, and Brett Pawlowski.Bob and Kylene have worked together for over a decade helping teachers improve the literacylives of students. Kylene is the author of When Kids Can’t Read/What Teachers Can Doand Bob is the author of Response and Analysis. Together they are co-authors of Notice and Note: Strategies for Close Readingand Notice and Note: Strategies for Reading Nonfiction. They are co-editors, with Linda Rief, of Adolescent Literacy: Turning Promise into Practice. Brett Pawlowski is Executive Vice President of the National Center for College and Career Transitions ( He has spent 15 years advocating for business involvement in education, including publishing the K-12 Partnership Report newsletter, hosting the Effective Education Partnerships Conference, and working with corporate, nonprofit, and education clients on their partnership efforts. With Charlie Katz, he is the co-author of the “Employer Engagement Toolkit;” with Hans Meeder, he is the co-author of “Building Advisory Boards That Matter.”

Exhibit Space Details

1)Each exhibit is provided one skirted table (6’ X 30”) and two (2) chairs. Additional tables may be requested for placement within a single exhibit area for an additional $75.00.

2)Exhibit sponsors are responsible for their own audio/visual, equipment needs and Internet access (you will receive the access code upon check-in on Tuesday, March 17th ).

3)Exhibit set up may begin at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17andmust be set up by 6:00 p.m.

4)Exhibit breakdown may begin at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19th.
