Call for Proposals

The Indiana Vision Conference planning committee is seeking proposals for sessions that address a wide variety of issues in the education of students who are blind or have low vision. All proposals must be submitted in English. Presenters must be available to present their session on either day of the conference. Presenters selected from the Call for Proposals must register for the conference but will have their conference registration fees waived. Please submit completed proposals by July 21, 2016. Submission Agreement

By submitting a proposal, you are agreeing to the following terms related to the presentations and their use by the Indiana VisionConference Planning Committee (IVCPC):

  • Understand that acceptance of the proposal does not imply payment of an honorarium or reimbursement for travel expenses to the conference.
  • Agree to present on the date and time assigned by the IVCPC during November 10 & 11, 2016.
  • Agree that no changes of author, title, or text of the abstract, other than those due to typographical errors, are permitted.
  • Warrant that all presentations are original works or that such material which is not original is being used in full accordance with the express permission of the owner of the work.
  • Agree to hold the IVCPC harmless against any costs, claims, expenses and damages incurred by the IVCPC as a result of its use of my/our presentation(s).
  • Grant the IVCPC all of the necessary rights to use each presentation in printed, digital or electronic form.
  • Agree that an electronic copy of all PowerPoint presentations be submitted to the IVCPC no later than Friday, October 28, 2016. The IVCPC will utilize DropBox or a similar program in order to share your PowerPoint with participants prior to the workshop. It is the responsibility of the participants to print the PowerPoint.
  • Agree that all handouts (hard copy or electronic copy) be submitted to the IVCPC no later than Friday, October 28, 2016.The IVCPC will utilize DropBox or a similar program in order to share your electronic handouts with participants prior to the workshop. It is the responsibility of the participants to print the handouts.
  • Understand and agree by submitting a proposal, the use of each presentation is conditioned upon the IVCPC acceptance of it, and that the IVCPC need only notify me of the acceptance for the terms stated herein to be binding.
