A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE AMANDA J. MORRIS, UPON THE OCCASION OF HER GRADUATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA SCHOOL OF LAW, AND TO WISH HER SUCCESS IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Amanda J. Morris will graduate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in May 2008; and
Whereas, in May 2005, Amanda Morris earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of South Carolina School of Business with a double major in marketing and management and a minor in philosophy; and
Whereas, from 2003 to 2005, she served as a page on the floor of the House of Representatives and as an assistant to Sergeant at Arms Mitchell Dorman; and
Whereas, she was a law clerk to Speaker of the House Robert Harrell from May 2006 to April 2007 and then served as a judicial intern for two months to the Honorable Solomon Blatt, Jr., in Charleston, and she currently serves as a law clerk for the House Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee; and
Whereas, she has been the associate editor of the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business, a peer mentor of the Student Bar Association, and a member of Phi Delta Phi; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives congratulate Amanda J. Morris for successfully completing the requirements for a juris doctor and look forward to hearing of her many contributions to the State of South Carolina as she practices law. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and congratulate Amanda J. Morris, upon the occasion of her graduation from the University of South Carolina School of Law, and wish her success in all her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Amanda J. Morris.
