REGISTRATION & Thursday night only, March 12, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at South Weigh Ins Fayette High School, every wrestler MUST register and weigh-in at one of the two locations. NO WALK INS THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT SATELITE WEIGH IN PLUM BORO O’Block Jr. High School 440 Presque Isle Drive, Pittsburgh PA, 15239 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
ADMISSION: Adults - $5.00, Senior Citizens - $2.00, Students - $1.00
AGE: Age as of December 31, 2008 (your age on this date will determine which age division you will wrestle). YOU MUST BRING A NON-RETURNABLE COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO REGISTRATION OR YOU WILL NOT BE WEIGHED IN. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!! 8 and under can wrestle 10 and under but can NOT wrestle in the 8 & under on Feb 7!
WEIGHT: FLAT WEIGHT ONLY! No weight allowance. You may change weight class at weigh ins.
RESIDENCY: You must be a resident of one of the following school districts to participate in the Area VII tournament: Avonworth, Baldwin, Bethel Park, Burrell, Butler, Carlynton, Chartiers Valley, East Allegheny, Elizabeth Forward, Fox Chapel, Freeport, Gateway, Hampton, Highlands, Keystone Oaks, Kiski Area, Knoch, Mars, McKeesport, Montour, Moon, Mt. Lebanon, North Allegheny, Northgate, North Hills, Penn Hills, Pine Richland, Plum, Riverview, Seneca Valley, Shaler, Slippery Rock, South Allegheny, South Fayette, South Park, Steel Valley, Thomas Jefferson, Upper St. Clair, Valley, West Allegheny, West Mifflin and Woodlands, or the City of Pittsburgh.
SKIN: Pre-existing skin conditions require a Physicians completed medical release form at the time of registration. See your coach or the proper PIAA medical form can be downloaded from the All Area website: www.pajw.org
LACES &
HEADGEAR: Laces must be SECURED with tape or straps. Headgear is MANDATORY.
ADVANCING: Double elimination tournament. Only 1st place will receive a wall chart, 1st and 2nd will receive a T-shirt and shorts to be worn with their singlet at the state finals in Erie. Only the 1st and 2 nd place finishers in each weight class will advance to the PJW State Finals March 20th and 21st in Erie. Those who advance will receive an information sheet with details on the State tournament.

OFFICAL RULES AND ENTRY FORM
1. Only residents of Pennsylvania may enter the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Tournaments.
2. Wrestlers may only wrestle in the school district in which they are a resident.
3. There is a one-time entry fee of $18.00 that must be paid at registration/weigh-ins. Weigh-ins are on Thursday night only. Checks are to be made payable to AREA VII Wrestling.
4. The source of rules governing the tournament will be the PIAA Rule Book, PA Jr. Wrestling Rule Book and the Area Rules.
5. Bouts will consist of three periods: 2-1-1: consolation bouts will be 1-1-1. Headgear and wrestling uniforms are mandatory. Shoelaces must be secured with tape or straps.
6. Your age as of December 31, 2008 determines what age division you will wrestle. You may only wrestle within your respective birthday age division.
7. A NON-RETURNABLE COPY OF THE WRESTLERS BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED AT WEIGH-INS.

In consideration of your acceptance of this entry, I intend to be legally bound hereby, for myself, my heirs, and assigns, release and waive any and all liabilities, claims, or rights to damages for any injuries or losses suffered by myself or the participant that I may have against the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Committee, sponsors and committee in charge of this event, South Fayette Junior Wrestling; its board members, officers, and coaches, South Fayette Junior Wrestling Boosters, South Fayette School District, officials of these tournaments, and anyone connected in anyway with the Area VII Tournaments, while participating in, training for, or traveling to and from these tournaments.
