A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND AND RECOGNIZE THE J. L. MANN HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SWIM TEAM FOR ITS IMPRESSIVE 2005 AAA STATE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP AND TO HONOR THE SWIMMERS AND THEIR COACH, KATIE COBB, ON AN EXCEPTIONAL SEASON.

Whereas, the J. L. Mann High School Boys Swim Team capped its outstanding season by capturing the 2005 AAA State Championship Title; and

Whereas, excellence in swimming demands individual strength, agility, and skill, as well as team support and good sportsmanship; and

Whereas, using those talents and attributes, Coach Katie Cobb and her swimmers showed both fans and foes that the J. L. Mann High School Boys Swim Team is a force to be reckoned with; and

Whereas, the twentythree young men of the team showed great stamina and poise in the water, always remaining supportive of each other and representing their school and surrounding community with the finest caliber; and

Whereas, the members of this outstanding group of young swimmers are: Jonathan Belfore, Wynne Boliek, Wyatt Boliek, William Buschur, Roger Diggelman, Bo Farr, Lee Groseclose, James Haarsgaard, Patrick Haarsgaard, Brian Hickerson, Zach Hickerson, AJ Johnson, Michael Mew, Kevin Pitts, Chris Reinke, Neal Robinson, Neel Skelton, Mac Todd, Michael Tucker, Chris West, Harry Williamson, Tripp Wylie, and Pierce Wylie; and

Whereas, the South Carolina General Assembly takes great pride in recognizing the young men of the J. L. Mann High School Boys Swim Team for their determination and perseverance in achieving excellence both in the classroom and in the pool and looks forward to celebrating many more accomplishments in the seasons to come. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend and recognize the J. L. Mann High School Boys Swim Team for its impressive 2005 AAA State Championship and honor the swimmers and their coach, Katie Cobb, on an exceptional season.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Katie Cobb on behalf of the J. L. Mann High School Boys Championship Swim Team.
