A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR CHRISTINE MASON COX FOR HER OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS ON BEHALF OF SOUTH CAROLINA STATE GOVERNMENT AND TO WISH HER THE BEST IN ALL FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives takes great pride in commending those individuals who tirelessly give of their time and talents as true public servants to this State; and
Whereas, Christine “Christy” Mason Cox is an outstanding example of such a public servant, working as both Communications Director and Speaker’s Office Chief of Staff for former Speaker of the House David H. Wilkins; and
Whereas, Mrs. Cox previously distinguished herself as Deputy Speechwriter and Assistant Press Secretary for Governor David M. Beasley and as a Public Information Officer for the South Carolina Department of Public Safety; and
Whereas, taking great pride and care in her work, Mrs. Cox was an invaluable asset to South Carolina state government and particularly to the South Carolina House of Representatives. Her expertise is greatly missed here, but her talents are no doubt appreciated as she undertakes new and exciting challenges in her new role as Chief of Staff to the United States Ambassador to Canada; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives thank Mrs. Cox for her many and varied contributions while serving this State and wish her, her husband Tobe, and their children William and Reagan continued prosperity and happiness as they now proudly serve our nation in Canada. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and honor Christine Mason Cox for her outstanding contributions on behalf of South Carolina state government and wish her the best in all future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Christine Mason Cox.
